BIO

Professor Faith Osier is a distinguished immunologist and a leading researcher in the field of malaria and infectious diseases. She is currently a Professor of Immunology and Global Health at the University of Oxford and holds a position at the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI). Her research focuses on the development of innovative strategies for malaria control and prevention, with a particular emphasis on understanding the immune responses to malaria and other infectious diseases.
 
Professor Osier completed her medical training and PhD in the UK, and her work has significantly advanced the understanding of the complex interactions between the malaria parasite and the human immune system. Her research integrates clinical and field studies with laboratory-based investigations, aiming to develop novel vaccines and therapies for malaria.
